Sikh sanjog would like to thank you all for attending the first ever Sikh Women Speak conference which was held on Wednesday 4th March 2020 at Edinburgh Guru Nanak Gurdwara. We also want to thank you for all your valuabe input at the various workshops we held, this will be extremely helpful.
As the event was a great success we are in the process of planning a follow up focus group in Edinburgh at the Sikh Sanjog offices. At the focus group event we would like for you to carry on the passionate discussions which were raised at the Sikh Women Speak event.We will update you with more details in due course. We are hoping to host this event as soon as possible however due to the global outbreak of coronavirus this is still under discussions.
The aim of our Sikh Women Speak events are to create the first ever report on the needs of Sikh women in Scotland today. This is to be launched in March 2021. This year’s events are to find out the facts and to hear the voices of the Sikh women and to highlight the area’s most affecting the lives of Scottish Sikh women and bringing this to the attention of the relevant public and government bodies.
