Sushee Surdhar is a first generation Sikh born in South Wales. She is currently studying Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, and has completed an intercalated degree in Infectious Diseases.
She first met Trishna at the University in 2013, and was recently asked to join the board. Although she has grown up in a household outside of Edinburgh’s Sikh community, Sushee can relate to some of the challenges faced by Sikh girls in Edinburgh and feels strongly that they are not denied their rightful opportunities. She is looking forward to working with women from all backgrounds to help continue Sikh Sanjog’s excellent work.
